Introduction to Group Conciliation

What is a group conciliation?

Group Conciliation is based on the principles of Mediation but usually involves multiple parties such as in a family, church, non-profit organization or business. Group Conciliations are usually multi-day events held at a neutral location. Group Conciliations blend coaching, mediation, education, and consulting to provide a more intensive and comprehensive approach. When conflict affects an organization or church, a system-wide intervention is often necessary. Organizational conflict can only be fully addressed when culture change is carefully considered and planned for.

Co-Conciliators

An additional mediator (a co-conciliator)  can provide a strong balance of expertise, experience, and perspective.  Sometimes this balance is crucial and other times it is necessary because of the issues or the number of parties involved.  Additionally there may be present a trusted pastor who has empathy for all parties involved providing all parties give their consent.
